ISO 27001 certificate extended to: MUC II (including MuCon-X) and Rosenheim

With the continuous expansion of our infrastructure, EMC Home of Data is not only growing in size, but also in our commitment to quality, reliability, and information security.

That is why we are pleased to announce today:

The new facilities at our MUC II campus in Munich—home to MuCon-X – and our new Data Center in Rosenheim are now officially certified according to ISO 27001:2022.

This means that our existing certification has been successfully extended to these two new locations.

Security remains part of our foundation for digital development

With MuCon-X, we have created a new Internet hub for Munich – located directly on the new MUC II premises of EMC Home of Data. Our recently opened data center in Rosenheim is directly connected, giving the south-east Bavaria region access to the digital world of tomorrow.

However, if paths are to be sustainable in the long term, they need a strong foundation, and security and trust are the key building blocks, especially in the field of digital infrastructures.

For us, this means, of course, that information security must grow with us – with every new location and with every expansion of our existing data centers.

ISO 27001 certification is a globally recognized standard for information security management systems (ISMS) and proves that we have established processes, measures, and structures to reliably protect our customers' data – technically, organizationally, and in daily operations.

Our Campus MUC I has been ISO 27001 certified for more than 14 years.

This year, we not only achieved recertification with an upgrade to the latest version, ISO 27001:2022, but also expanded to include the new MUC II premises in Munich and the new location in Rosenheim.

MUC II and Rosenheim demonstrate what such developments might look like.

The new Campus MUC II brings more data center space and, thanks to MuCon-X, more connectivity to Munich – and on a long-term basis. Companies at the location have direct access to a powerful network consisting of around 1,000 national and international partners, including DE-CIX (Premium Enabled Site – in < 6ms directly to Frankfurt) and Megaport Platform Services. For them, this means shorter distances, stable connections, and a certified basis on which digital strategies can be implemented securely and for the long term. Our data center in Rosenheim brings these advantages directly to the region – together with a powerful, tested foundation for shaping your digital development in a sustainable way.

Both locations are now part of our certified information security management system – and for us, that sends a strong signal: We are growing – but never at the expense of quality or trust.
