Our new cloud and connectivity hub for Munich and the DACH region - MuCon-X - continues to grow: With LWLcom, MuCon-X gains another partner with a Germany-wide backbone and numerous points of presence (PoPs) in Germany and the Netherlands at the EMC Home of Data campus. For LWLcom, MuCon-X is a new strategic hub for expanding its network in southern Germany.
MuCon-X is creating an attractive interconnection location for cloud and content networks, which LWLcom sees as the ideal place to provide companies with high-performance connections with low latency and high resilience.
“We believe that MuCon-X will become the next major interconnection point in the Munich area and have therefore decided to make our services available at our new PoP right from the start,” said Simon Frerichs, CTO LWLcom.
For the network provider, the new PoP is an important strategic step in the expansion of its network – and a clear decision in favor of Munich as one of the most promising locations for connectivity in Germany.
In doing so, LWLcom also aims to contribute to the expansion of digital infrastructure in Germany and further advance digital networking in the DACH region.
Keno Rademaker, Sales B2B Connectivity, LWLcom emphasizes:
"Our newly opened PoP at MuCon-X is an important step toward expanding LWLcom's network capacities. We are delighted to be able to make a real contribution to a well-connected DACH region by providing our partners with high-quality connectivity products."
With the expansion by LWLcom, we can further strengthen MuCon-X's role as a central platform for digital networking in Munich and beyond.
With a Germany-wide backbone and numerous PoP locations in Germany and the Netherlands, LWLcom is considered a reliable partner for a wide range of connectivity services such as IP transit, site networking, and network consulting. Its standard offering includes in-house DDoS protection, which is already included in LWLcom products at no extra charge. The AS50629 is optimally connected to content providers, cloud services, and other eyeball carriers.
In Bremen, LWLcom operates as a regional city carrier with several hundred kilometers of its own fiber optic network.
In addition, the company now operates three data centers, which are geographically diverse and located in the Bremen city area.
We, the EMC Home of Data team and I personally, would like to share our enthusiasm for the topics of data centers and colocation with you.
